Feddyg dieing an anticlimactic death would be similar to Lorne killing Lindsey in the last episode of Angel, but I think he's mildly annoyed with Jared than anything else. He's been prepared to die and bored with life anyway since he can't make anyone miserable. He wouldn't be happy if it was said that he couldn't live with himself, but seeing as how he'd be dead people could say whatever they wanted anyway. Feddyg is very good at turning defeats into modest victories so even if he dies he at least has the satisfaction of knowing things were going so badly that Jared killed him rather than risk using him or let him see the Hand crush his former enemies. @ Locke. I believe the intention of the grenades is a fail-safe against possible 'really bad' escapes. With the level of shaking, it's plausible that Fedyg's cell could have collapsed on top of him before Jared got there, so all he really has to do is not save him.
