Kinda reminds me of F/SN with Archer wanting to kill his younger self Shiro, in the hope that the Grandfather paradox would wipe him from existence, thereby forgetting that as long as there are multiple timelines, he’d always remain within existence, because it would take only one Shiro in one of the countless timelines making similar decisions as he once had to cement his future as Archer.
So in effect, in order to achieve his own annihilation, he would’ve had to kill every Shiro in existence throughout every timeline imaginable. And that’s just not feasible.
One thing I love about T Campbell is how he ties up loose ends; you can see that in how he ended Fans the first time, and Penny and Aggie (who need to make a guestie in Quiltbag, BTW). I’m savoring every strip entry. I love happy endings! (even mostly happy ones)
I’m very curious to see what is going to be their reaction to the lost of their alternate future son.
