This has always been FeddyG’s shtick. He pretends he is so smart and so powerful, but it’s all an act. He has been doing this from the start. He pretends he’s good; he pretends he has power over people. Later, he pretends he has “super charisma.”
Half of me wishes that he DID set up some kind of “delayed sickness” on Rikk so he would finally prove himself as a real threat, but, lets face it, he’s not that smart. He is just one meta-mind**** after another. He likes tricking people into thinking he is a badass, instead of, you know, BEING a badass.
they did call it a mild illness so it’s possible that Freddy is simply guess that it’s a bug. Still with someone like Freddy G. you can’t be certain that he doesn’t have a few ways of getting information or striking back from his imprisonment.
You know, now that I reread it with a clearer head, I think her shock is from him actually replying back that Feddy’s sending his love “back at them” and hopes Rikk feels better? Maybe I read that with loads of sarcasm the first time through, but looking back, maybe she’s honestly wearing him down (and she herself is surprised). If anyone knows when he’s bullshitting, Ally should know.
