If she’s looking at the fourth wall in panel 5, does this mean we’re looking at the fifth wall?

There’s a lot of references to the current storyline packed in that crossword. Pieces of dialog (“liono”, “ani”, “aria”, “wil”) and crossworders’ names (“rod”, “lynx”, “kaylee”).

It’s perpendicular and clockwise, so it’s a Manji.

“Swastika” could be clockwise or counterclockwise, but if it’s left-facing it’s often called a Manji, 卍, or a Sauwastika.
What is depicted in the comic is not a Manji, 卍, or a Sauwastika. It IS laying flat, unlike a Nazi Swastika, but a Sauwastika is “left-facing.” What is depicted is a “right-facing” symbol and is, indeed, a Swastika. A way to remember is that a Swastika is like “SS.”
However, it might not be a Nazi Swastika. Swastika are very very old symbols and predate the Nazis by… about…. 8,000 years. They are, in fact, one of the oldest symbols in human history.

The letter δΈ‡ comes from a swastika, for example. I think it was classical Chinese who changed it to the three-stroke version. Although, please don’t quote me on that.

So, she’s meditating to break the fourth wall?

I’m pretty sure that is just a standard crossword puzzle grid. I mean, yes it is small to fit the square but as a player of crosswords that doesn’t look like anything besides what would be standard for a grid that size.

@Locke I think she’s looking though the fourth wall WITH meditating the way her day showed her.

I thought, maybe if I write them down like a crossword puzzle instructions, I might see a connection… but no. I also don’t see anything in the diagonals.

Oh well… you never know with T when he might decide to plant something.

That’s what I’m guessing Biker Matt… That’s what I’m guessing. But I’m sure we’ll learn more in the next comic just what’s going on.
