A lot of good exposition. What I’m wondering is if Hyperman has been working with them all along and whether Keith created the flu bug going around and if that will play some kind of role in the Hand coming to power.
Little Joseph seems like he was a badass toddler, too. I guess when your parents are Rikk and Rumy, and your second mom, the one who raises you, is badass Apocalypse Ally, kindergarten is cutting monsters in half.
Another thing that occurred to me. Maxie the second referred to “Uncle Marc” before they made contact with the Erixons. She also called Shanna “Auntie.” And if Will died in her timeline, I wonder if that meant Marc and Shanna got together later on.
I’m still wondering who her “Dad” was. Best guess right now is Jayespin/Jesse or possibly Tim. (Her seeming kind of close to Dotty is the main reason I’m thinking of Tim as a candidate.)
Well it’s not like the general is going to look much like anyone. She’s not genetically related to anyone in the cast after all, and her outfit is clearly just to look futuristic rather than to hint at her personal connections.
Well, conversely there’s no proof yet that she ISN’T genetically related to the “now” cast. And she did call Shanna “Auntie,” which while it doesn’t point to a genetic connection, it does point to Shanna having been around the general when the general was a baby.
The new general is a bit more feminine in appearance than the old Maximiliana, and I would guess a bit shorter too. So it’s not impossible that the genes could have been “remixed” a little, though I would more likely chalk it up to nurture/the original Maxie using steroids or something like that.
Apocalypse Ally is tres cool and chibi Joseph is just adorable. I love that last panel’s artwork.

I’m suddenly reminded of the date August 29th, 1997…if only because there were so many desert scenes from the second movie of that series.

There’s nothing in the young general’s appearance to point to Tim or Julia, except for her name apparently being Julie.

@kingleon I think Ult is their name for Hyperman.
Original general is older than this general. General Julie can still grow up into Maxie.
Why are people talking about “Ult” like it’s a full word? It seems pretty clear to me that Guth’s cutting himself off before he finishes, there.
As long as “Ult…” it isn’t “Ultron” or “Ultraman”
