I love Zaha so very much. Her and Fitz’s interactions are awesome.

Regardless of whether Rikk’s body survives the disease or not, I got 50 bucks that say that this body switch won’t be permanent

Zaha and Fitz are now the voices of reason.

    Whoa.

    Good forward planning there, Fitz.

Ooof, it’s clear that Rikk didn’t think about the “father of a child” at that moment, and it’s shown really well in panel 3

Aw, poor Prof, he’s pretty much whipped, looks like.

Also, nice to see Rikk realize that, no, he is NOT the Second Coming. He is a father-to-be and the husband of two women, not to mention part of the “heart” of the team, whether he is active or not. He may be able to abandon the world to save one life, arguably he could abandon his wives to save one innocent life, but he can’t abandon his future child.

As a result, I love how he’s manning up, laying on that table, and facing the fact that, sometimes, morality and responsibility do not go hand in hand.

The argument they should be using to convince Rikk would be “Well, we still can investigate how to heal a ‘Dead’ mind while it is in Rikk’s body. Nothing lost in the transfer.”

And it looks like Fitz actually gives a damn about someone else’s opinion for a change. And I mean that in the sense that they’re not threatening physical harm to him, which was previously the only way to make him care about others.

Now finding a good assistant is indeed hard, but hard enough to forgo his chance at mad science?

    Intriguing.

Rikk, you are so easy to manipulate.

When they switch bodies the “brain-dead” guy’s mind will wake up, but in Rikk’s dying body.

    WHAT A TWIST!

@KS Claw: Yes, it really did.

But look what it’s done to him in the last panel… I hope we don’t get crushed raspy voice Rikk back :(

Rikk’s making the perfect “…S*** just got real” face.

Fitz is the perfect candidate for that “betrayal”. Not because he’s secretly evil, but he’s clearly tempted to do something naughty here. For SCIENCE! yes, but still.

@Rowen Morland: I’m pretty sure at the end of this storyline we’re not going to get any kind of Rikk back.

oh…. uhmm… so in a tipical mind switch you realign both brains….
What if you only realign the donor to match Rikks brain? You get SickRikk and HunkRikk sharing a single mind (like DualCore cpus)? Independent bodied telepatic iterations of Rikk’s mind (like a network)? One Rikk awake and one in mindless coma (like in the Avatar movie)?
Furthermore…. if this technology goes public… can you realign brains on better patterns for fun & profit? Say… realign young deathrow criminals into well addapted citizens? there are lots of posibilities :D…. unethical some of them, sure.
