I’m putting money that this date from the date parts go off without a hitch. It’ll be somehting SF-ie that’ll be an unknown factor that’ll pop up out of the blue possably something like Di turning into a frog and Dax a princess. XD
I’m putting money down that they both die and the title was a misleader. Instead, Campbell will be introducing a new character to Fans, Detective Frog! Detective Frog is a talking frog who is also a detective, as the name implies, who joins Team Alpha to investigate the mysterious deaths of Bax and Di. His wacky antics will cheer up the team and make him an important character in the main storyline!
Then George Lucas will rip off his T. Campbell mask and demand a ransom if we ever want to read one of T.’s comics again.
@Locke Nah, no one’s going to die, the Date will be just a normal socially awkward encounter which serves entirely as Slice of Life, but this turns out to be the Secondary focus of the Arc, when a Frog Based parody of Madoka Mahica’s Kyubey turns up at HQ, and offers Laura a wish, and to turn her into a Magical Girl Princess who will have to fight evil monsters called Queens…
I’m guestting the storyline is headed towards Baxter almost starting to feel like their date might actually go somewhere, and then getting interrupted by time-travellers or terrorists or some other crisis and getting put on indefinite hold.
(Also, I enjoy being called an evil twin, having recently grown a goatee.)
